Change is hard.

So, it turns out that getting a house ready to sell takes a lot of work. Who knew?! The entire house has been painted, which meant choking on paint fumes for a few days. At least it’s done though. We’ve started packing up some of the clutter and the furniture has been rearranged a bit too. It doesn’t really feel like home anymore. Every time I walk in the front door and see the new paint colour and the rearranged artwork, I have this moment where I feel like I’m in the wrong house. Mom has been feeling the same way. Our real estate guy says that’s a good thing; it makes it easier to let go. I just can’t imagine living anywhere else. The house will officially be listed this upcoming weekend, but we still have a lot of prep to do first…
